Baron Hill Golf Club is the oldest privately owned nine-hole golf course in the U.K,  was
constructed in the 1880’s for the late Sir Richard Henry Williams - Bulkeley, Bart – the
Grandfather of current Club President.
The course was re-modelled in 1946 by R. Walker the club professional at that time.  The
par 68 course measures a deceptive 5595 yards in length and has many natural hazards
In recent years many improvements to the course have been made – the greens have
been re-shaped, slowly matured and for the past two year earned the respect of many
visiting golfers.  Most recently a five hole, short course for the younger junior members
has been constructed along with a pitching area and practice nets.
Baron Hill Golf Club is situated within walking distance of the idyllic town of Beaumaris.
As well as its historical presence with its wonderful castle, the nearby pier services many
boat trips and other water activities.  Places to eat and stay are a plenty and access to
other parts of Anglesey are only a short drive by car.
