Gents Newton Cup Qualifier 15th April 2018

The Newton Qualifier was played on the 15th April with the top 8 qualifying for the knock-out stages. Huw Owen winning on the day with 65net. The 8 qualifiers are Huw Owen 65, Deiniol Roberts 68, Gethin Morgan 68, Aaron Owen 70, Rhys Jones 70, Adam Warriner 71, Ian Hughes 72, Liam Kearns 72

Seniors take the honours @ Henllys Hall in round 1 of the Rawlinson Shield 12th April 2018

Well Done to the Seniors Team winning the first round of the Rawlinson Shield at Henllys Hall on the 12th April with 199 points beating the hosts on the day by 5 points. Congratulations to Mike Lehane coming 2nd on the day only losing out on the back 3 holes with 38 points on the day.

Captain's Drive in 25th March 2018 - New Captain follows in family footsteps

On the 25th of March in glorious sunshine the new Club Captain of Baron Hill Golf Club Beaumaris Nigel Warburton hit a perfectly straight drive to signal the start of the Men’s golf season. Nigel has been associated with the club for over 50 years & follows in the family tradition of becoming its latest captain. Nigels’s mother Jean was the Lady Captain in 1978, his brother Ian was junior captain in 1980 & his father Phil captained the club in both 1985 & 1986.

Pentraeth Mazda Open

Former Juniors pip new crop to win the Pentraeth Open
The Pentraeth Open was played on Sunday 12th June at Baron Hill Beaumaris, Mr Ken Jones has sponsored this event for over 30 years & a full field competed on the day. The winners on the Day with 45 points were former junior members of the club John Harrison & Dylan Edwards now playing their golf at Henllys, just pipping the current crop of juniors Sion Swain Williams & Iestyn Jones with 43 points.

Club Outing St Melyd Golf Club 2016

A great day out was had at St Melyd Golf Club as the Captain’s outing was very well supported with 46 members playing on the day. The weather was perfect although scoring was slightly down but great fun was had by all, the carvery was very well received & the winner of the shield on the day was Bill Madine with 35 pts, beating Robert McRobie into 2nd Place with 34 pts.

Baron Hill Golf Club Presentation Night 11th Oct 2015
The curtain came down on a busy year for Baron Hill Men on Sunday with the Champions Trophy competition, which was won with a level par 68 Gross by Martin Owen at the Beaumaris Club.  The Men’s team finished 2nd in the Lowe Shield for the 3rd successive year & had match-play wins over St Deinol, Maesdu & Storws Wen.  

The biggest winner of the year was Martin Owen winning the Presidents, Dick Walker Bogey, Champions Trophy, Eclectic & Wells Cups.
 
The new Club Champion is Kevin Tolan who also won the Burton Cup, other trophy winners:-
Myrddin Roberts – 36 Hole Town Trophy,  Wyn Thomas – Molyneux, Ian Jones – Glanllyn
