Baron Hill Golf Club

Baron Hill is the oldest club on the Island of Anglesey dating back to the 1880's and boasts the finest greens in the area. A small friendly club with a big heart and a testing course.

Local Rules

  1. Out of Bounds (Rule 27-1)
    a) A ball beyond any boundary wall, fence or gate.
    b) Beyond the line of white stakes bounding the clubhouse, practice putting green, practice area and green-keeper's shed to the right of the 1st/10th fairway.
    c) Beyond the white stakes behind the 2nd/11th green.
    d) To the right of the trench between the markers on the 4th/13th hole. When playing other holes Rule 24-2 applies.
  2. Water Hazards (Rule 26)
    All Water courses as per Rule 26
  3. Bridges
    Bridges are an integral part of the course. A ball may be played as it lies if it comes to rest on any bridge or relief may be taken under penalty of one stroke in accordance with Rule 26-1.
  4. Immovable Obstructions (Rule 24-2)
    Water points, drain covers, distance markers, safety nets, embedded tee markers, seats, staked trees, short course mats, winter mats and their bases are immovable obstructions. A ball coming to rest in the area marked at the safety net protecting the 4th/13th tees MAY be dropped in the dropping zone provided.
  5. Ground Under Repair (Rule 25-1b)
    Playing a ball from an area marked as ground under repair (G.U.R.) is prohibited – relief MUST be taken.
  6. Relief Without Penalty
    A ball coming to rest on any gravel path or lying within 6" of an embedded rock on the fairway may be lifted, cleaned and dropped in accordance with Rule 24-2.s
